Soundcore VR P10 Wireless Earbuds

In today’s earphone and headphone market, consumers are looking for a highly convenient user experience. True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds have become a popular audio accessory offering wireless on-the-go listening. Compared to traditional TWS earbuds, Soundcore VR P10 facilitates 2.4GHz wireless connections, providing an ultra-low latency of 30ms to meet VR product applications. The product also comes with a compact charger designed to match the small, portable characteristics of TWS earbuds.

Soundcore VR P10 supports two concurrent audio links over both 2.4GHz proprietary protocol and Bluetooth, enabling seamless switching between the two connections. Moreover, this product is compatible with up to four adapters, allowing convenient pairing with different devices. The earbuds use an 11mm dynamic unit and support BassUp technology and the LC3 codec to provide high-quality wireless audio. It also has a single battery life of six hours and a total battery life of 24 hours when used with the charger.

Disassembled Tech

The Soundcore VR P10 true wireless VR earbuds adapter uses a male USB Type-C interface, which is compatible with current mainstream VR devices as well as mobile phones, laptops, and tablets. A female USB Type-C interface also allows the VR earbuds to be charged while in use. The adapter uses Telink’s TLSR9517B multi-protocol wireless SoC to achieve wireless connectivity over a proprietary protocol in the 2.4GHz RF band.

Telink’s TLSR9517B multi-standard wireless SoC supports standard industry specifications, including Bluetooth 5.2, Basic Data Rate (BR), Enhanced Data Rate (EDR), Bluetooth LE, and Bluetooth LE Mesh. TLSR9517B combines the features and functionality required for high-quality wireless audio devices into a single SoC, as demonstrated by its performance in the adapter.

TLSR9517B integrates a powerful 32-bit RISC-V MCU, DSP, 2.4GHz ISM radio, 256KB SRAM, 1MB flash memory, stereo audio codec, AUX ADC, analog and digital microphone input, PWM, flexible IO interface, and other peripheral modules required for advanced audio applications. TLSR9517B also includes a multi-level power management design for ultra-low power operations, making it an ideal choice for wearable and low energy applications.

Disassembled Earbud

The Soundcore VR P10 earbuds come with a 63mAh high-capacity battery, Winsemi WSDF13F2N2H lithium-ion battery protection IC, and Thinkplus Semiconductor’s SY5501 power management chip. The main control chip of the earbuds is Telink’s TLSR9516A multi-protocol wireless SoC, which works with the TLSR9517B chip of the adapter to achieve a proprietary ultra-low latency wireless transmission of 30ms. Moreover, the chip supports Bluetooth Classic Audio and Bluetooth LE Audio, allowing it to be connected with other standard Bluetooth audio sources, just like regular TWS earbuds.

The Telink TLSR9516A multi-protocol wireless SoC inside the earbuds supports Bluetooth 5.2, Basic Data Rate (BR), Enhanced Data Rate (EDR), Bluetooth LE, and Bluetooth LE Mesh standards. It also integrates the requirements for high-quality wireless audio devices on a single chip.
