Overview

As an emerging automotive technology, the car digital key enables users to experience functions such as keyless entry, remote key authorization, and personalized configuration via devices including smartphones, NFC cards, and wearables like smartwatches. This technology allows users to unlock their vehicles more conveniently, enhancing the overall convenience. Telink has launched the Channel Sounding Digital Key Solution. This solution adopts positioning and requires collaboration with an on-board Sniffer device to locate the position and distance of the smart key (e.g., a smartphone). The vehicle's system then further makes decisions regarding the vehicle's operations.

 


When the user is within a certain range of the vehicle (e.g., 20 meters), they enter the zone, where the smartphone and the on-board device initiate Bluetooth connection. As the user approaches closer to the vehicle (e.g., within 3-10 meters), they enter the zone, triggering the vehicle's function and automatically activating features such as lights. When the user is very near the vehicle (e.g., within 1-3 meters), they enter the unlocking zone, allowing the vehicle to automatically unlock the doors and execute custom functions. Once the user enters the vehicle interior, they enter the operation zone, enabling the vehicle to support functions like keyless entry or car entertainment and audio services.
